Description

This Chicken Alfredo Tater Tot Casserole combines creamy Alfredo sauce, tender shredded chicken, peas, and crispy tater tots into a satisfying and cheesy baked dinner.

Ingredients

Shredded chicken (cooked)

Alfredo sauce (15 oz jar)

Sour cream (1 cup)

Frozen peas (1 cup)

Garlic powder (1 tsp)

Salt (½ tsp)

Black pepper (½ tsp)

Frozen tater tots (32 oz bag)

Shredded mozzarella cheese (1 cup)

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.

2. Mix the base: In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, Alfredo sauce, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and frozen peas. Stir until well combined.

3. Assemble: Pour mixture into the prepared casserole dish and spread it out evenly.

4. Top with tater tots: Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer over the mixture.

5. Bake for 30 minutes, or until tater tots are golden brown and crispy.

6. Add cheese: Sprinkle mozzarella on top and return to the oven for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

7. Serve: Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Make Ahead: Assemble in advance and refrigerate or freeze before baking.

Leftovers: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Freezing: Wrap tightly with plastic wrap and foil; freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight before baking.

Reheat: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes. Broil briefly if needed to re-crisp.

Variations: Add veggies (broccoli, spinach), swap cheeses, use turkey or sausage instead of chicken, or add bacon for flavor.

Tips: Use frozen tater tots for best texture and don’t overcrowd them. Customize toppings with parsley or Parmesan for extra flair.
