Beef Tips and Gravy is a rich and hearty dish made with tender beef simmered in a flavorful brown gravy — perfect for serving over mashed potatoes or rice.

Ingredients

2 lbs boneless beef (chuck roast recommended), cut into bite-size pieces

1 cup beef broth

1 medium onion, chopped

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 packet gravy mix (any flavor)

Salt and pepper (to taste)

2 tbsp vegetable oil

Optional: fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season beef with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet, sear beef until browned (5–7 mins).
  3. Add onions, sauté until soft (3–4 mins).
  4. Pour in broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Sprinkle in gravy mix, stir to combine.
  6. Simmer for 30 minutes, until beef is tender and gravy thickens.
  7. Serve hot over mashed potatoes or rice. Garnish with herbs.

Notes

For extra flavor, add mushrooms or a splash of red wine with the broth. Adjust gravy thickness with a cornstarch slurry if needed.
