A rich, cheesy green bean casserole packed with cheddar, parmesan, and a fluffy Cheddar Bay biscuit topping — indulgent, comforting, and absolutely not diet food.

Ingredients

Scale

26 oz frozen cut green beans, thawed

10.5 oz condensed cheddar soup

½ cup milk

¼ cup dehydrated minced onion

2 tablespoons Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon pepper

1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

⅓ cup shredded parmesan cheese

Topping:

1 box Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 cups milk

¼ cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Pour the green beans, cheddar soup, milk, minced onion, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper into a large mixing bowl. Stir well.
  3. Add the shredded cheddar and parmesan and stir well again.
  4. Spray a 9 x 13 inch baking dish well with cooking spray.
  5. Pour the green bean mixture into the baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  6. Pour the biscuit mix into a mixing bowl and set the included seasoning packet aside.
  7. Add the shredded cheddar and milk to the bowl with the biscuit mix and stir until no large lumps remain.
  8. Pour the biscuit batter over the green bean mixture in the baking dish.
  9. Place the dish in the oven and bake the casserole until the biscuit topping is nicely browned, about 50–55 minutes.
  10. Combine the melted butter and the Cheddar Bay seasoning packet in a small bowl. Brush the butter mixture over the baked casserole.
  11. Allow the casserole to rest for about 5 minutes to soak up the butter.
  12. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For an extra golden top, broil the casserole for the final 1–2 minutes — watch closely to avoid burning.
