Easy 15-Minute Lo Mein is a quick homemade takeout-style noodle dish made with tender egg noodles, crisp vegetables, and a savory-sweet soy-based sauce that comes together fast.

Ingredients

8 oz dry egg noodles

2 carrots, sliced

¼ yellow onion, sliced

3 cups cabbage

3 garlic cloves, diced

1 bunch green onions, chopped

Sauce:

2 tbsp dark soy sauce

2 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp water

1 tbsp cornstarch

1 tbsp oyster sauce

1 tsp sesame oil

¼ tsp white pepper

Instructions

  1. Prep all vegetables and mix sauce ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Cook noodles according to package directions, then rinse with cold water and drain.
  3. Stir-fry garlic, carrots, and onion in a hot pan until fragrant.
  4. Add cabbage and cook until slightly softened.
  5. Add noodles, sauce, and green onions, tossing until evenly coated.
  6. Serve immediately while hot.
